Job CNC Machinist/ Programmer

The Job

A CNC Machine Tool Application Engineer contributes to the success of Hartwig by working hand-in-hand with our Sales Engineers to provide support and be a technical resource to ensure satisfaction. The customers we serve are in a variety of industries and rely on the us to provide the best manufacturing solutions and support to the CNC machine tool industry. This position is based in Dallas/Fort Worth and supports customers in the surrounding area.

Main responsibilities of this full-time position include:

• Evaluate manufacturing processes and recommending industry-leading solutions
• Develop and test alternative processing methods
• Perform time studies for process improvement recommendations
• Oversee CNC machine tool installations
• Conduct research and assist in presenting proposals
• Perform on-site programming and machine operation training
• Facilitate demonstrations by setting up and programming the machine tools

The Skills

Individuals who ideally fit this role should meet the following qualifications:

• Two- or four-year degree in manufacturing engineering
• Experience in machining process development, project management and CNC programming
• Okuma machine programming experience preferred
• Ability to demonstrate knowledge and application of machine tool products, options and functions
• Strong mechanical and technical aptitude
• Excellent interpersonal skills, such as collaboration, listening, respect and work ethic
